  • What is Open Sweat?
    • Open Sweat is the first mobile app and platform that sells unsold spaces for workout studios at “the last minute.”
  • How does Open Sweat Work?
    • Open Sweat integrates with your MindBody ® or other reservation software. Our platform monitors your reservations hours before class time and uses trends to determine if your class has sufficient excess capacity to be sold within the app. There is nothing you need to do on a day-to-day basis, no emails to send, and no headaches. Our reservations appear directly on your current system in real time, and non-Open Sweat users to continue to book directly with you (at full price), or walk-in, up until class time.
  • This sounds awesome, how do I get my studio started?
  • How does Open Sweat protect my bottom line?
    • Open Sweat’s platform releases unsold spaces approximately up to a day before class times and only your classes that need help are listed. Our users are limited to four (4) bookings a month per studio location. Since the users are filling “excess capacity” they only add revenue to your bottom line, and will sign up for classes at full prices where scheduling is a priority.
  • What does this cost me?
    • Nothing! There is no cost to sign up. We pay all development and design costs to include you within the app. We pay credit card processing fees. We pay you for the spaces we fill. Simple as that.
  • How much do I get paid per my unsold space?
    • Due to the nature of last-minute deals, we try to get our users a compelling deal to fill your empty spaces while protecting your brand! The lower the price, the more likely your excess spaces will sell, so we strongly recommend a price that is 55-60% off the single class retail price.
  • How does Open Sweat get paid?
    • Open Sweat takes a small fee from users for each space sold. Studios never pay the fee.
  • What about credit card or other fees?
    • We pay for all fees.
  • Will Open Sweat sell all my unsold spaces?
    • Open Sweat is not meant to fill every spot of every class. We will only sell a portion of your excess capacity and work hard to protect the integrity of your brand.
  • Will I have spaces left for walk-ins?
    • Open Sweat will leave spaces unsold for walk-ins. But studios can also control the capacity available for reservations, and control its own walk-in space.
  • Can users cancel a reservation?
    • Because reservations are “last minute,” we do not permit cancellations.
  • What is the benefit of last-minute sales?
    • Last minute deals are a proven business model in numerous industries. Our goal is to help you increase monthly revenue, increase your brand cache and awareness, find new students, and encourage your regular customers schedule earlier.
  • How is this different from ClassPass?
    • Most studios recognize that once a user commits to ClassPass, that user is unlikely to give up his/her ClassPass membership or ever convert to a direct-paying studio customer. Not so with Open Sweat. We don’t sell your best classes days ahead of time at a discount. We have no memberships so our users are never locked in to our platform. With Open Sweat, users that fall in love with your studio will sign up and pay full price (or purchase packages) to make sure they get the class times or teachers they love. Most importantly, you are encouraged to market directly to Open Sweat users. There are numerous other benefits unique to Open Sweat.
  • Can Open Sweat run concurrent with ClassPass?
    • Open Sweat can be your partner along with ClassPass. Call us partial, but we believe using Open Sweat alone is the best option to maintain your brand and regular customers.
  • I’m worried about my client lists. Am I protected?
    • Open Sweat will not sell, mine, or share your clients. When Open Sweat users take your class, you receive their email and are free to market to them as you wish.
  • What if I don’t like the results with Open Sweat?
    • We require no commitment. Simply notify Open Sweat by email, and you will be taken off of the platform within one cycle (30 days or less).
  • Do I need to have first time clients sign a release?
    • While Open Sweat includes a general release for studios’ benefit, studios are required to request users sign release forms, provide emergency contact information, and are fit to workout.
  • Do I need to worry about over capacity?
    • No. Open Sweat engineers developed a platform that integrates directly with your existing Mind Body ® software so when your classes fill up, class sales cease. We can also set aside a number of spaces for walk ins that we will never sell. You see your capacity in real time, and see the names of the people signed up, as if they had gone through your website.
  • When can I start getting paid?
    • We pay monthly! And your studio will receive a monthly statement showing the number of spaces filled. Open Sweat is also creating a portal so studios can log in anytime to monitor their accounts.
